As a family-run, independent practice, we believe in offering care that’s not only compassionate but also sustainable — for our clients, our team, and their wellbeing. That’s why, when we’re closed overnight or at weekends, we work with Vets Now to ensure you still have access to expert advice and emergency care if you need it.

Our opening hours are

Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 7.00pm
Saturday: 8.30am – 12.30pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays: Closed

If you call our surgery outside of normal hours, you will be automatically transferred to Vets Now, based with Byre Veterinary Surgery, 32 Papyrus Road, Peterborough PE4 5BH

If you have an emergency during our normal opening hours, please call us straight away on 01780 764333. It’s always best to phone ahead rather than arriving unannounced — this allows us to prepare for your pet’s arrival and provide the quickest and most effective care possible.

Out-of-Hours and 24/7 Advice with VidiVet

We understand that worries about your pet don’t always happen during opening hours. That’s why we provide access to VidiVet, a professional veterinary triage and advice service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This service is free for all our registered clients.

What is VidiVet?

VidiVet is a team of UK-registered veterinary professionals who provide telephone and video advice for any pet-related queries, at any time of day or night.
They can:

Discuss any concerns you have about your pet’s health or behaviour

Assess your pet’s condition by video or phone

Help you understand whether a situation is urgent

Offer clear, practical guidance on what to do next

Reassure you when it is safe to wait until we reopen

VidiVet does not replace your own vet, but offers expert advice and support whenever you need it.

When can I use VidiVet?

VidiVet is available 24/7, including:

Evenings and nights

Weekends

Bank holidays

If you contact our practice when we are closed, or if you need advice outside normal hours, you may be directed to VidiVet.
There is no charge for this service — it is provided free of charge to our valued clients.
